Dr. Pat Romney

Dr. Pat Romney is a clinical and organizational psychologist. For the past 30 years she has consulted with individuals and organizations throughout the United States. She has been engaged in large diversity initiatives, leadership development and team building, and professional coaching of individual clients. Currently, Dr. Romney’s work is focused on coaching college and university faculty and administrators for success in the academy. This coaching includes helping clients enhance their skills in writing, leadership, management, and classroom teaching. Her clients have included Ivy League and Seven Sisters colleges and universities, prestigious independent schools, as well as arts and cultural organizations, grass-roots human service organizations, and state public sector agencies. Dr. Romney is also a much sought after speaker and dialogue facilitator.



Dr. Romney received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the City University of New York where she won the Bernard R. Ackerman Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Graduate Psychology. She completed her psychology internship in Consultation and Education at the Yale University School of Medicine, and has done post-graduate study at The College of Executive Coaching. For twenty years she taught at the college level. She received tenure at Hampshire College where she taught for 10 years and reached the rank of Associate Professor of Psychology. She was also Visiting Associate Professor at Mt. Holyoke College for ten years. Currently, Dr. Romney devotes her time to her consulting practice and her clinical practice.
